A dialogic and process-based program investigating the disappearance of Jeanne Duval (Charles Baudelaire’s muse and life companion) from the French cultural landscape.
The program included:
- Performance: Toetra: D’après le Texte Je suis L’Archive by Euridice Zaituna Kala with Salomon Metila, Louna Philip and Sara Valeri.
- Poetry readings by Marie-France Alvarez & Gaëlle Malandrone
- Talks by Robin Mitchell (Venus Noire. Black Women and Colonial Fantasies in Nineteenth-century France, 2020) & Emilie Notéris (Alma matériau, 2020)
- A Screening with videos Giverny I (Négresse Impériale) (2017) by Ja’ Tovia Gary and La belle créole (2016) by Sonia Charbonneau.
